October 28, 2018 – Annapolis to Herring Bay at Fairhaven, Maryland

Today was our maiden voyage on the ‘Blue Breeze’.  We spent 5 days commissioning the boat for the trip to Burnt Store Marina located on the southwest coast of Florida near Punta Gorda.  Since it was our first day on the new boat we decided to make it a short day to our first anchorage in Herring Bay near Fairhaven, MD. We motored all the way while we got used to steering the boat, using the autopilot and navigational instruments.  There was a strong wind out of the west and it was in the 50’s so a little chilly for us Floridians. Expect to make it to Solomans Island tomorrow which has good protected anchorages. A great first day with sun at the end of the day.
