October 29, 2018 – Herring Bay to Solomans Islands, Maryland

We departed Herring Bay about 9 AM after a rolling night.  The wind died down after dark and we were exposed to waves from the bay.  We won’t be doing that again. The trip from Herring Bay was a windy one.  You will see in the photos the chart plotter and other of our instruments showed a constant wind speed of 17 to 19 knots.  At times the wind speed was gusting to 26 knots. That’s about 30 miles per hour. A good second day as we appreciate much better protection at this anchorage.  Expect to enjoy a better night of sleep.  We continue to learn so much about the ‘Blue Breeze’.  Tomorrow we will continue south along the west side of the Chesapeake.
